Flaming Pie
Listen...Do You Want to Know a Secret?

In the early 1960s, the United States was invaded by a wave of British rock-and-roll bands that quickly became embedded into our pop culture. The rock ‘n’ roll that had evolved as an American musical form in the early 1950s took a dramatic turn with the “British Invasion.” Not only were the catchy beats and bluesy melodies embraced by America’s youth but the British artists that brought these songs to us became overnight pop culture sensations. It is often said that The Beatles as icons were so popular because they personified the generation's youth, and that their music and records had begun to mark the passage of time in their listeners' lives.

It is in this spirit of the British Invasion and the memories that it awakens that “Flaming Pie” was formed. Flaming Pie plays British Invasion music including the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Zombies, The Hollies and other great “invaders” from the 60s. The band also plays music from subsequent British Invasions in the 70s and 80s, including artists such as Led Zeppelin, Badfinger, Elton John, The Cure and David Bowie.
